Show & Tell Friday

It's window painting season!  I really enjoy painting windows for the Shortline Express stores.  Here are some of the windows from this year.

Working on Santa.
I don't know why but I really like the North Pole Sign.

What's winter without a few penquins...they allows travel in pairs.
Banners were new for them this year.
Thanks to my sidekick, Chris for helping me with this project again this year.

Diner Windows

The Southwest Diner in Boulder City s ready to ring in the season.  Happy parade goers will enjoy the windows as well this weekend adding to the festive atmosphere.

Happy snowmen ready to greet you.
I am really liking these new trees...the diner is the first to get them.
Holly in the snow flurry.
Southern windows got a forest of trees and snow flurry holly.
I made these flowers for the planter boxes in the spring.  I wonder if they'll be coming down for the winter?

Cute Snowmen

Check these guys out...so primitive, rustic and adorable.  My friend bought one at the Tuachan craft show last weekend.  They are from The Rustic Rose in St. George, UT.  So stinkin' cute!  Just had to share.

Works in Progress

Craft show season has snuck up on me this year. I've been slow to get things done for some reason. During the spring I had a hysterectomy and it took longer for me to heal than expected...at least what I expected. It was'nt like having my children by c-section, it was a lot harder. Anyway, I think it really slowed me down this year. So now I starting to work like a mad woman on projects. Here is some of what I'm working on lately.

I've been through my rag quilt phase. I've completed about a dozen or so of them. Sold several at a summer show, have several more that just need washing so I guess I'm almost done with that phase.

My last set of projects have been screen paintings. What is that you say? These designs are painted on solar screen. Lots of snowmen and pumpkins are running a muck around here. Some have been framed while others are looking for frames to call home.

I've been working on ornaments...not as many as I should have been working, but the ones I do have completed are adorable. These two are my own design that I've not made in several years. They've been updated with fleece and I really like them.

Everyone loves snowmen but I also really like Santas too. There are lots of people that collect Santa's and have some truly awesome ones. Let's hope they like this little guy to hang on they're tree this year.

I'll be at several craft shows this fall...not as many as last year though. Being cautious this year. When you see me, stop, say 'hi', and buy.

A Few New Things

Here are a few pictures to wet your appetite for the coming seasons. Besides....I just wanted to share. There are lots of signs in the works and made to choose from. Snowmen are a real favorite of mine. Maybe it's because we don't really get snow in Vegas, or maybe it's because they are just so darn loveable. Yeah...I'm going with the second one.

I paint them on anything and everything. Here are some on re-purposed ice skates full of greenery, on giant jingle bells and on cabinet doors.

Don't fret all you Halloween lovers...I've got lots of fun stuff for you too. Witches, scarecrows, and even a few skeletons and skulls too.

I've got several of these really large 40" metal stars to paint. They are super cool because they can be taken apart to store from year to year.

So enjoy this sneak peek and look for more items to show up on my Etsy and Twiddlebugz Designz sites and at shows during the upcoming seasons.
