Show & Tell Friday

I've decided to give you a peek at what's new each week, so...Show & Tell Friday it is.  It was always such a great day at school, the highlight of the week.  I hope it will be a highlight here too.

Anyway...this week I've been painting on skates. I sold out of them at Art in the Park and need to have some for McQueen.  Here are a few of them.
I've also been working on a few other things over the last couple of weeks.

There are lots of them to choose from with a wide variety of pumpkins that also include Halloween prints, fall prints, plaids, stripes and solids.
I made about a dozen of these fun scarecrows (pattern from Farmyard Creations) in assorted prints and plaids as well.  They were my jumping off point for the pumpkin patch.

A Few New Things

Here are a few pictures to wet your appetite for the coming seasons. Besides....I just wanted to share. There are lots of signs in the works and made to choose from. Snowmen are a real favorite of mine. Maybe it's because we don't really get snow in Vegas, or maybe it's because they are just so darn loveable. Yeah...I'm going with the second one.

I paint them on anything and everything. Here are some on re-purposed ice skates full of greenery, on giant jingle bells and on cabinet doors.

Don't fret all you Halloween lovers...I've got lots of fun stuff for you too. Witches, scarecrows, and even a few skeletons and skulls too.

I've got several of these really large 40" metal stars to paint. They are super cool because they can be taken apart to store from year to year.

So enjoy this sneak peek and look for more items to show up on my Etsy and Twiddlebugz Designz sites and at shows during the upcoming seasons.

More crafty stuff

It's still National Craft Month so keep on crafting your hearts out! I finished a skate order for a customer, she only wanted 3 orginally but ended up taking all five I had painted. I've also been sewing up that large pile of rag quilt squares into baby blankets. I four sewn right now and working on more today. You'll get to see them when they're finished. I think I will have enough squares to make about 8 of them.
I'm still moving more fabric to the new sewing room...so I am staying out of JoAnn's for a while. I have a lot of fabric! Not to mention wood, paints, and more. I have set a goal to use a majority of what I have this year. Donating extra supplies to a school or two is also on the agenda...so Cathy, are you need of any for your after school and art programs? I really have enough supplies to open a shop...and it's crossed my mind many times but now is not a good time to open anything kind of retail store. In the future, who knows. This town needs a decorative painting store.
